August 2009 - Michael J. McLaughlin, MD, Chief Scientific Officer and Principal of Peloton Advantage, has been selected as one of the “100 Most Inspiring People”in the life sciences industry by PharmaVOICE. Michael’s profile, in the Change Agent category, appears in the July/August 2009 issue of PharmaVOICE. According to PharmaVOICE, this recognition is based on how Dr. McLaughlin has inspired and motivated those around him, his influence as a corporate leader, and his positive impact on the industry through his actions. May 2009 - Peloton Advantage’s abstract submission, “The Role of Medical Publications in Determining Access, Coverage and Reimbursement Policy”, was selected for an oral presentation at the 5th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) at the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center, PA, on April 20-22, 2009. John W. Draper, SVP, Health Care Management, presented the results of a health care decision-maker survey highlighting the critical role of publications in the new health care marketplace.
April 2009 - Peloton Advantage continues to expand its leadership role in the medical publications industry. Several employees were actively involved in planning and executing the 5th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP). ISMPP committee involvement included: Abstract/Poster Judging (Kimberley Gertsen, Account Director), Annual Program (Bela Engler, Senior Account Manager), Certification (Paul Ricigliano, Account Director), Membership (Carolyn Clark, President), and Standards and Best Practices (John Draper, SVP, Health Care Management). Kimberley Gertsen also served as a faculty member for the Publications 201 Workshop and as the moderator for a Career Development Roundtable Session. John Draper also moderated an Evidence-Based Medicine Roundtable Session.
April 2009 - Peloton Advantage is proud to recognize Account Director Kimberley Gertsen, Senior Account Director Ann Loftus, Account Director Paul Ricigliano, and Group Director Rachel Strother for receiving their Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) certification. The CMPP certification program was recently instituted by the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) to distinguish individuals who “demonstrate a level of knowledge and experience that is required to effectively plan and execute a medical publications program” and agree “to act in a positive manner to practice and promote ethical and legal standards, while upholding the integrity of medical publication professionals and ISMPP as an organization.” These accomplishments represent the ongoing dedication of Peloton Advantage and its employees to set the standard for the medical publications industry.
